1.2 Take a role in the production of a short film

I have been assigned the role of sound recording and camera assistant on set during the production and editor in post-production.

When it comes to my on set role I will be in charge of operating most of the sound related equipment along with Amy Warnes.  This include firstly a zoom recorder where I will be able to view the audio levels of the rest of my equipment and sound mix. The other two items I will have is a shotgun mic which will be used in conjunction with the boom pole for interviews. Also for interviews I will be using live-mics. Finally for the capture of wild track I will use the ‘circular” mic’ which will directly attach to the top of the zoom recorder. When I carry this out me and Amy will continually switch in and out to watch over the camera operator as there beginners and give them assistance where needed.

 

 

For editing I will be working in conjunction with the rest of team, especially the director and producer to reach there vision. The software that will be used will be Adobe Premier Pro which I’m proficient with, so I believe I will bring good experiences in that department for the rest of my editors.Also due being involved with sound I will search out music for this project. For this I will firstly need to make sure its free for commercial use, the site I found is a channel on YouTube named ‘Audio Library’ whose music is exactly that.
