Health and Safety

4.1 Health and safety practice

Health & Safety

Health & Safety is very important because it makes you think about the different risks and problems that could occur during production. By thinking about these problems, you will be able to prevent them from happening. It’s also good to keep your crew safe and healthy because if there are any injuries on set it will delay production or the producer might get sued. ITs a good idea to keep your actors and crew Well feed and hydrated because they will perform a lot better during very long shots. It’s a good idea to do risk assessments because it makes your think about all the potential risks and problems that could occur and so it helps you prevent them. its also good to use equipment safe and correctly so it doesn’t get damaged or worst injure the crew using it.

Most common Risks on set are usually:

  • Cables
  • Tripping hazards
  • fire
  • weather
  • Water spillage
  • over crowding
  • Lights

Ways we Apply Health and safety to our Film

One of the ways we applied health and safety to our production was by making a Risk assessment, this allowed us to figure out the potential risks on set, this help us prevent them from happening.

Because we had very long shots we had a-lot of breaks to make sure everyone can perform there best when doing their jobs. we also had food to sustain our selfs so we had energy to do the shots. The producer also told people to be careful when walking across the cables. I made tea and coffee for people so they would stay hydrated  and healthy.
