Health and Safety

4.1 Health and safety practice

Health and Safety is really important when working on film productions as they are very often in public areas which mean general outdoor safety risks are hightened due to expensive equipment and large numbers of people taking up space and so the risks need to be taking into consideration before shooting to prevent problems.

Some key safety issues can be theft, any problems with members of the public becoming a safety risk, any injuries that could be cause by lifting of tripping over equipment or by shooting in environments that aren’t the safest.

We made sure we covered all the possible problems on our risk assessment and wrote solutions to them to. Our producer has this so was able to overlook the general safety and we were also very self aware about any issues around us due to the public or weather.
